Roof of the tram stop shelter, Stadtplatz Schlieren

Large folded tram stop roof made of steel on three inclined and "twisted" columns.

1st prize in competition

Folded steel structure supported on three columns. Haunched main girders run radially (spoke-like) into the circumferential edge girders. The main girders are braced by longitudinal and transverse ribs. The underside of the roof is designed as a load-bearing steel structure. Roof drainage is via the open edge rib, which is formed as a gutter. At the two lowest points in each case, the water is collected and drained from there through the columns into the sewer system. As the two lowest points on the outer roof sides are below the lowest column drainage point, these are additionally drained via scuppers.
